Seham’s heartfelt words of wisdom

Heartfelt words and solid advice from one of our mentees Seham.

I really want to highlight that believing in yourself is the most important thing. If you don’t believe in yourself, no one will. Believe that you are still the same person who once had dreams and goals, the same person who has done lots of great things and will still continue doing, the same person who came across several challenges and was able to stand strong, the person who was able to raise beautiful kids.

Yes, it might not be easy at all, you might need to start from point A, you might not be as confident as the young people around you, you might face lots of rejections and judgments from the people and the society, but always remember there will be that one person who will believe in you and give you the chance and that person is YOU! At the end, what you think about yourself is what matters the most! You are the best reflection of yourself! The world around you will see and feel just what you see and feel. When you start doing this the right people will come across your way and help you to start your journey, Samia for me you were that right person. I started my journey by attending your mentorship event! Even though I wasn’t fully aware how useful it is going to be for me, or what should I expect! But you tried to convince me and reassure me that I’ve got something to offer. You are doing everything from your heart  and I can clearly feel that.

After the event I approached one of the great mentors who were in the event! He helped me to get an internship in a big company, it turns out I have all what it takes to do the job, there is still a lot to learn but I learned so much about myself along the way. I’m so grateful that I have done that, you have helped me to go out of my comfort zone, always believe in yourself and reach out to the right people!
